Society members’ article received distinction from Physical Review A
On November 17, 2025, the article of the young participants of the Ukrainian Optical and Photonic Society, was included in the Editors’ Suggestion and Highlights list of Physical Review A. The Editors’ Suggestion distinction is a marker of high quality that the editors award to only about 3% of articles they consider particularly important, interesting, and well-written.
The authors demonstrated the tuning of the zero-reflection angle using a two-dimensional metallic nanostructure, demonstrating switching between the Brewster angle and the ideal absorption for TE-polarized light.
The authors from Kyiv, Lviv, and Kharkiv are high school, undergraduate, and Ph.D. students, respectively. Mentoring high-school and undergraduate students is one of the core values of our Society.
