Nano Talks seminar on nanotechnology

Dedicated the Day of Science in Ukraine, May 18, 2024, Karazin University hosted Nano Talks – a series of short popular science talks for a wide audience on nanotechnology.

The speakers included students, postgraduates and teachers of the Department of Computational Physics and the Department of Theoretical Radiophysics. They discussed modern applications of nanostructures in various fields, namely, integrated circuits, remote light collection, biodetection, laser light generation and solar panels. The presentations were followed by interesting questions and lively discussions.

The event was organized by the student chapter of the international optics and photonics communities SPIE and Optica “Karazin Photonics” in partnership with Ukrainian Optics and Photonics Society with the support of the US Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF Global) and the European Commission's EURIZON Fellowship Program for Ukraine.
